Phytonutrients

Phytonutrients are the chemical constituents of a plant that provide nutrition. These include vitamins, minerals, trace elements and plant components like antioxidants and flavonoids.

There are millions of phytonutrients and those found in SuperFood Plus are too numerous to list, but they are a vital part of its health giving properties.

Genetically modifying plants can inadvertently breed out some of their most potent health-giving properties. None of the plants in SuperFood Plus have been ‘bred’ or genetically modified (except the beetroot to a small extent). This gives SuperFood Plus an extensive ‘as nature grew them’ list of phytonutrients valuable for promoting general health, which are not found in everyday food. These range from immune facilitators and hormone regulators to general energy enhancers.

As the plants in SuperFood Plus are left to ‘be themselves’, we the recipients reap the reward of nature that hasn’t been tampered with. All the plants in SuperFood Plus are abundant in the phytochemicals that are lacking in the genetically modified fruits and vegetables we buy in supermarkets.
