ROSEHIPS - ALASKA
Rosehips (the dried fruit of roses) are famous as a natural source of vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin C.
The rosehips in SuperFood Plus are wild-crafted in Alaska in areas of wilderness free from pollution. They are collected by herb collectors working for the Dr. Schultze, who are trained in sustainable collection practices.
Apart from being rich in vitamin C, rosehips are also abundant in bioflavonoids and tannins, all of which are useful for treating infection, improving immunity, relieving stress, stomach and bowel disorders, and circulatory disorders. They are also high in chromium, niacin, riboflavin, selenium and vitamin A.
Additionally, rosehips contain biochemistry that helps the body's defences against infections. They also help recovery, aiding in general debility and exhaustion. They will also help the gall bladder, kidneys and bladder work more efficiently and are also effective in the relief of constipation.
Their bright red, orange and lemon colourings indicate that these plants contain high levels of antioxidants and bioflavonoids as stated earlier, which prevent cellular free radical damage.
Other components includes rutin, hesperidin, pectin, polyphenols, limonene carotenoids, and vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 and vitamin K.
