WHEATGRASS - CALIFORNIA
In the 1940s interest in wheatgrass was such that the large corporations, Quaker Oats and American Dairies Inc., invested millions of dollars of research into it as a food for animals and humans. This research claimed that its vitamin B12 content was superior to any other vegetable. Yet the devil is in the detail.
It is the micro-organisms living on wheatgrass that provide the B12, rather than it being contained within the plant. This type of B12 synergy relies on the micro-organisms not being washed off, so careful harvesting and treatment is vital, such as is observed for SuperFood Plus. Aside from B12 it is also rich in other B vitamins and vitamin E, K, A & C.
It also contains numerous amino acids (17 approximately), which are instantly available for use as protein, unlike meat, fish, eggs etc., which require breaking down into amino acids before being built into a protein. This can be a tiring and lengthy process if the body is ill or struggling in some way. Wheatgrass is 70% chlorophyll, which is called “the blood of plant life” because of how well it can build up the blood quality in humans. The wheatgrass in SuperFood Plus is indoor grown and can be cut and used at approximately 7-10 days old and 6 to 9 inches high.
The quicker it is used or freeze dried the higher the levels of enzymes and phytonutrients and other active ingredients, which is why the wheatgrass in Dr Schulze’s SuperFood Plus is freeze dried within hours of harvesting. In his book “Survival Into The 21st Century” (1975), Rev Viktoras Kulvinskas states: “Wheatgrass is the fastest, surest way to eliminate internal waste and provide and optimal nutritional environment.
Its high enzyme content helps dissolve tumours. Wheatgrass is the nectar of rejuvenation, the plasma of youth, the blood of life. All elements that are missing from your body's cells, especially enzymes, vitamins, hormones and nucleic acids, can be obtained from this daily green sunlight transfusion.”
